Apple is reportedly working on at least seven head-worn devices as part of its aggressive push into the next wave of consumer electronics, according to noted analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.

In his latest blog post, Kuo outlines a roadmap that begins with a spec-bumped M5 Vision Pro in 2025, followed by a more affordable Vision Air in 2027, and a second-generation Vision Pro in 2028, boasting a redesigned form factor and Mac-class performance.

Beyond the Vision lineup, Apple is also developing four smart glasses products, including its first-generation Apple Glasses set for a 2027 debut. These glasses are expected to feature voice control, gesture recognition, AI-powered environmental sensing, and multimedia capture capabilities.

Two additional XR smart glasses with embedded displays are in development, with one set to enter mass production by 2028. While Apple appears to be taking a slower, more measured approach compared to early market entrants.

Kuo predicts the company’s superior technology and ecosystem integration will significantly expand the smart glasses market. He expects Apple’s eventual launch to push total category shipments beyond 10 million units by 2027, setting the stage for a major shift in wearable tech.
