KUALA LUMPUR, July 24 — Petronas Gas Bhd (PGB) has successfully resumed natural gas supply to Batu Tiga, Shah Alam, and Connaught Bridge after commissioning a newly constructed bypass pipeline on July 1.
The restoration followed rigorous engineering and safety assessments, including approval from the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH), ensuring full compliance with regulatory standards.
PGB also announced enhanced reinforcements at the bypass section in Putra Heights, including advanced sensors and structural supports, while a new permanent pipeline is being designed with additional safety features.
Beyond restoring energy infrastructure, the company has provided over RM2 million in aid to affected families and committed RM25 million for home reconstruction. System-wide safety checks along the 2,680-kilometre PGU pipeline have shown no similar risks elsewhere.
