KUALA LUMPUR, July 26 — Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail said today that Malaysian authorities have yet to receive firm evidence confirming fugitive financier Low Taek Jho, or Jho Low, is residing in China under a false identity.
Responding to recent investigative reports, Saifuddin stressed that while all leads are taken seriously, no verifiable information has been obtained to act upon. He added that Malaysia continues to rely on diplomatic efforts and international cooperation to pursue Low.
The key figure in the 1MDB scandal. “We need more than media reports — we need official confirmation,” Saifuddin said, reiterating that no breakthrough has been made despite persistent efforts.
