BAYAN LEPAS, July 27 – The 3rd Malaysia Age Group Finswimming Championship 2025 officially commenced today with an energetic start at the swimming arena, beginning with athlete warm-ups and the arrival of esteemed guest YBhg. Dato’ Ts. Dr. Nagulendran Kangayatkarasu, Secretary General of the Ministry of Youth & Sports Malaysia, representing YB Hannah Yeoh, Minister of Youth & Sports.

Following the national anthem and a vibrant contingent march-in, welcoming and officiating speeches were delivered, setting a spirited tone for the two-day event celebrating young aquatic talents from across the country. The championship features a packed schedule with 11 competitive sessions and 9 medal ceremonies spanning two days.

Over 100 events are being contested, with athletes competing for top honors and recognition, while medal presentations and mock cheque handovers celebrate their achievements. Organised by the Malaysia Finswimming Association, the event not only highlights the growing popularity of finswimming in the nation but also reinforces Malaysia’s commitment to nurturing youth sports excellence and building future aquatic champions.
