GEORGE TOWN, July 28 — Dive into Penang’s natural world like never before with “Symbiosis: Crab Chronicle”, a free virtual reality installation running from August 2 to 10 at The Whiteaways Arcade.
This immersive experience places audiences in the shoes—or rather, claws—of native and invasive crab species, guiding them on an ecological journey from rainforest to reclaimed coastline.
Inspired by fieldwork with Penang’s fisherfolk, the project blends science, storytelling, and technology to explore biodiversity, land reclamation, and human impact.
With crabs as unlikely protagonists, Crab Chronicle offers a fresh lens on environmental resilience and the delicate balance between nature and development.
