KUALA LUMPUR, July 31 — The first-ever Malaysia Bridal Fashion Week (MBFW) dazzled over 2,000 guests with a breathtaking three-day celebration of bridal couture from 25 to 27 July at Astana Hall, Bamboo Hills. Organized by The Gown Atelier, the event brought together 23 local and international designers, including icons like Zuhair Murad, Vera Wang, and The Atelier, setting a bold benchmark for the nation’s wedding fashion future.

MBFW redefined the traditional runway experience with its infinity-loop catwalk — a symbolic nod to eternal love — and a platform where style met substance. From industry insiders to curious brides-to-be, attendees explored a fusion of heritage and high fashion. Founder East Chin emphasized MBFW’s mission to “elevate the bridal experience” and create a space where fashion, culture, and community converge annually.

Each day unveiled a different theme: Day 1 opened with couture powerhouses and celebrity appearances like Arden Cho and Yumi Wong; Day 2 spotlighted Eastern elegance through the “Oriental Charm” segment with standout Sangjit pieces; and Day 3 closed with “Ivory & Hues,” a showcase of modern minimalism and dramatic couture by brands such as Ivan Yong and Maison Pera.

Surprise appearances by personalities like Hebe Chan and Han Xiiao Aii added glamour to the already star-studded event. Beyond the runway, MBFW engaged guests through immersive experiences like bouquet-making, edible art, live performances, and luxury lucky draws. Notable giveaways included a RM75,000 luxury mattress by Simmons and a bespoke RM20,000 diamond ring by BEON Diamond.

The vibrant mood was enhanced by emcees Kevin Chong and Diana Danielle, with Danielle also performing live on stage. Backed by partners including Bobbi Brown, BridePay, Astana, and more, MBFW 2025 proved that Malaysia is ready to take its place on the global bridal fashion map.

With The Gown Atelier at its helm, MBFW is poised to become the premier launchpad for bridal creativity, showcasing diverse styles, timeless craftsmanship, and the evolving soul of Asian bridal couture.
