SUBANG JAYA, July 31 — Prasarana Malaysia Berhad will implement a critical signalling system upgrade on the Kelana Jaya LRT Line from August to November 2025, requiring weekend service adjustments.
Phase 2 (August 9–September 14) and Phase 3 (October 11–November 22) will involve late openings at selected stations for live system testing, with some stations operating from 9am instead of 6am on specific weekends.
The upgrade, which replaces outdated 1980s software and hardware with advanced SelTrac digital signalling technology, aims to enhance safety, efficiency, and lifespan of the LRT system.
Over 80% of the work has been completed, and Prasarana assures that the majority of the upgrade will occur during non-operational hours to minimise disruption.
