KUALA LUMPUR, July 31 – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today unveiled the 13th Malaysia Plan (13MP) themed “Melakar Semula Pembangunan”, outlining a comprehensive RM611 billion strategy to steer national development from 2026 to 2030. The plan, presented in the Dewan Rakyat, reflects the government’s commitment to inclusive, high-impact growth, with RM430 billion allocated from public funds.

Of the total investment, RM120 billion will come from government-linked companies and investment firms, while RM61 billion is expected from the private sector through public-private partnerships. Anwar emphasized that the plan aims to strengthen key sectors and stimulate domestic investment, ensuring long-term economic resilience.

Breaking down the RM430 billion allocation, RM227 billion (52.8%) will be channelled to the economic sector, RM133 billion (30.9%) to the social sector—including RM67 billion for education and RM40 billion for healthcare—RM51 billion (11.8%) for the security sector, and RM17 billion (4%) for administration.

Anwar said this strategic distribution reflects a balanced approach to growth, well-being, and national security. The 13MP exceeds the RM400 billion development allocation under the previous 12th Malaysia Plan, signalling the government’s intention to scale up infrastructure, services, and human capital investment over the next five years.
