KUALA LUMPUR, August 6 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said he will consult the Home Ministry regarding reports that fugitive financier Jho Low is allegedly living under a false identity in Shanghai, China. Speaking after the groundbreaking ceremony of Kompleks Madani Teluk Kumbar, Anwar acknowledged reading the viral news but stated, “We have yet to get any information. Let me check.”
The claims were made by journalists Bradley Hope and Tom Wright during a livestream, alleging that Low is living in the luxury enclave of Green Hills under the name Constantinos Achilles Veis and carrying a fake Australian passport. Low, accused of orchestrating the 1MDB scandal, has remained at large since 2015.
