KUALA LUMPUR, August 6 – The government will launch its Budget 2026 consultation this Thursday, focusing on gathering feedback from stakeholders to shape a people-centric and business-aligned fiscal plan, said Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil.

Speaking at the CNF25 Forum, he highlighted that micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) will be a key focus due to their role in employing 70% of Malaysians. Fahmi added that Budget 2026 will be drafted in line with ongoing policies, economic challenges, and the 13th Malaysia Plan (13MP).

The final budget, expected to be tabled on October 10, aims to ensure that national development remains inclusive, equitable, and resilient amid global uncertainties.
