KUALA LUMPUR, August 7 — The Malaysia International Film Festival (MIFFest) returned in full force for its 8th edition, launching with glitz, storytelling, and cinematic unity at MyTOWN KL. Festival President Joanne Goh set the tone with a call to celebrate “infinite possibilities” in cinema, as MIFFest continues to champion diverse voices in Southeast Asia and beyond. Running from 19 to 27 July 2025, MIFFest includes film screenings, industry summits like ASEAN On Screen.
And culminates with the Malaysia Golden Global Awards (MGGA), which this year received nearly 700 submissions. The full schedule, press kits, and media accreditation details are available at www.miffest.com.my, with updates across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
