GEORGE TOWN, August 7 — Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow has confirmed that the Penang Development Corporation (PDC) is fully cooperating with Bukit Aman’s Anti-Money Laundering task force in its probe into the MBI investment scheme.

He said PDC submitted all requested documents, including financial records and agreements related to the Penang World City (PWC) project, following an official visit by the task force on July 9.

Chow emphasised that the investigation focuses on tracing any potential links between funds paid by Mutiara Metropolis Sdn Bhd (formerly Tropicana Ivory) to PDC and the MBI scam.

Reiterating PDC’s commitment to due process, transparency, and integrity, he clarified that PDC acted purely as a commercial stakeholder in the transactions, with no direct ties to MBI or its activities.
