KUALA LUMPUR, August 8 — Signify Malaysia, formerly known as Philips Lighting, marked its commitment to the Malaysia MADANI vision by showcasing its latest smart, energy-efficient lighting solutions during the inaugural Signify Innovation Day 2025.
In alignment with the National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR) and the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act (EECA) 2024, Signify highlighted how intelligent lighting systems integrated with IoT technologies can reduce energy usage in commercial buildings by up to 70%, supporting the nation’s journey toward net-zero emissions.
President of Signify Malaysia, Mr. Sukanto Aich, emphasized the company’s mission to make smart lighting accessible, affordable, and impactful for all Malaysians — from local councils to property developers and homeowners.
With sustainability as a cornerstone, Signify is not only advancing its global Net Zero 2024 target but also partnering with stakeholders across sectors to accelerate energy transition and embed sustainability into daily life, echoing the broader goals of Malaysia MADANI.
