RAUB, August 10 – Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi announced that an additional RM300 million allocation for the MADANI Rahmah Sales programme will help more Malaysians, especially in rural areas, purchase essential goods at lower prices.

The expanded funding will allow wider implementation across all State Legislative Assembly (DUN) areas, ensuring the benefits reach not only urban and suburban zones but also rural communities.

The initiative, originally launched in January 2023, offers discounts of 10 to 30 per cent on daily necessities and is now backed by a total RM600 million allocation for 2025.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim had earlier stated that this boost would allow for more frequent sales and a greater number of locations, ultimately easing the cost of living for Malaysians nationwide.
