PUTRAJAYA, August 12 — The MADANI Government will begin disbursing the Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR) Phase 3 payments starting today, August 12, 2025, benefiting 8.6 million recipients with up to RM650 each.
This phase, involving an allocation of RM2 billion, marks an increase of 300,000 recipients compared to Phase 1 in January, thanks to year-round applications and appeals to ensure no eligible individual is left out.
Prime Minister and Finance Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said the initiative goes beyond cash aid, aiming to empower recipients towards financial independence in line with the goals of the MADANI Economy.
Payments will be credited directly into bank accounts for registered recipients or distributed in cash through Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) branches nationwide, including in Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan.
Eligible categories include households earning RM5,000 and below, senior citizens without partners, and singles, with payment amounts ranging from RM150 to RM650. The Finance Ministry urged the public to check their eligibility via the official STR portal and remain alert to fraudulent links circulating online.
