KUALA LUMPUR, August 12 – Maxis, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education (MOE), has launched Program GenAI Maxis eKelas, an initiative designed to equip 30,000 students and teachers nationwide with essential Generative AI (GenAI) skills.

Aligned with the Digital Education Policy and the 13th Malaysia Plan, the programme supports Malaysia’s vision of becoming an AI-powered nation by fostering digital literacy in schools. The launch event, held at SMK Seri Bintang Selatan, was officiated by Puan Aniza Kamarulzaman, Director of the Educational Resources and Technology Division (BSTP), who praised the initiative as a model of effective public-private collaboration.

Co-developed with the MOE, the GenAI eKelas programme integrates Maxis’ industry expertise with curriculum-aligned content to ensure measurable learning outcomes. The modules are facilitated by 50 trained Maxis volunteers who serve as developers and trainers, ensuring an engaging, hands-on learning experience.

With a focus on practical, future-ready skills, this initiative reflects Maxis’ commitment to digital empowerment and innovation in education.
