GEORGE TOWN, August 12 — Vivax-Metrotech Corporation (VXMT), a global leader in advanced utility locating and inspection technologies, has launched a RM48 million manufacturing facility in Penang, creating 175 high-skilled jobs and strengthening its Southeast Asian presence.
Equipped with 16 assembly production lines and specialised clean room operations, the plant will produce precision technologies for telecommunications, water, gas, and electrical utilities, boosting the company’s production capacity to meet growing global demand.
MIDA CEO Datuk Sikh Shamsul Ibrahim bin Sikh Abdul Majid said the investment aligns with the 13th Malaysia Plan and the New Industrial Master Plan 2030, helping to grow Malaysia’s advanced electronics ecosystem.
Vivax-Metrotech leaders hailed Malaysia’s skilled talent pool, strategic location, and manufacturing excellence as key factors in their expansion decision.
