TAPAH, August 15 – UEM Edgenta Berhad has unveiled its first Premix Plant with Recycling Facility in Chenderiang, Tapah, marking a major leap toward circular economy practices in Malaysia’s infrastructure sector.

Operational since September 2024, the facility, developed by Edgenta PROPEL Berhad, produces Recycled Asphalt Premix (RAP) and supports Malaysia’s National Energy Transition Roadmap by integrating recycled materials and reducing carbon emissions by up to 15 percent.

With a capacity of 240 tonnes per hour, the plant combines cutting-edge technology with environmental responsibility, cutting reliance on virgin raw materials while supporting over 200 km of pavement rehabilitation annually.

Strategically located near the PLUS Highway, the facility enables efficient distribution and is staffed largely by local talent, demonstrating UEM Edgenta’s commitment to both sustainability and socio-economic development.
