GEORGE TOWN, August 17 — The Penang Goldsmith & Jewellers Association (PGJA) marked its 27th anniversary with a historic milestone — the launch of the inaugural Penang Jewellery Fashion Week (PJFW).

This highly anticipated debut shone a spotlight on Malaysia’s creative synergy between couture fashion and fine jewellery, reinforcing Penang’s position as a hub for style, craftsmanship, and innovation. The glamorous showcase featured leading designers including Kenny Loh Couture, Micheal Ooi, and Allure by AidieyJay, who brought their signature aesthetics to life alongside exquisite jewellery pieces.

Their collections highlighted how couture and jewellery can blend seamlessly to create looks that are both timeless and cutting-edge, further enhancing Malaysia’s reputation on the regional fashion map. In addition to the main showcase, PJFW also announced future partnerships with Clover Makeup & Beauty Academy and CAD Models Production & Management.

Both of which will play vital roles in grooming new talent and ensuring world-class standards in upcoming editions. These collaborations signal a strong commitment to building a sustainable ecosystem that nurtures young creatives, models, and beauty professionals for the future of the industry.

Organising Chairman Wu Jun Win commended his committee for their creativity and dedication, noting that PJFW is not just a celebration but a statement of ambition. “Penang is ready to shine brighter than ever,” he said, emphasizing that the event represents a new chapter where heritage meets modern innovation.

With the successful debut of PJFW, Penang is set to emerge as a Southeast Asian stage where fashion and jewellery artistry converge to inspire the world.
