KUALA LUMPUR, August 19 — Maxis Berhad has partnered with China Mobile International (CMI) to officially launch CMLink, CMI’s Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) service, in Malaysia. The collaboration was formalised during the 2025 China Mobile SEA Cooperation Conference in Kuala Lumpur and marks CMI’s first MVNO venture in the country.

Hosted on Maxis’ award-winning 4G and 5G nationwide network, CMLink will provide seamless voice and data services, leveraging Maxis’ extensive fibre infrastructure and modern mobile capabilities to deliver a fast, reliable, and secure experience. The launch expands CMLink’s global presence following rollouts in the UK, Singapore, Japan, Thailand, and Italy.

With unique features such as 1CMN (one card, multiple numbers) and China-Malaysia data sharing services, CMLink is designed to serve the needs of students, professionals, and frequent travelers between both nations. The partnership reflects Maxis and CMI’s shared goal of driving innovation and accelerating growth in the telecommunications sector, while offering enhanced connectivity solutions for international communities in Malaysia.
