CYBERJAYA, August 22 — Prime Minister YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim officiated the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between ZTE Corporation and Multimedia University (MMU) to advance Malaysia’s ICT talent development in 5G, artificial intelligence (AI), and digital transformation.
The event, held during the launch of MMU’s new Faculty of Artificial Intelligence & Engineering (FAIE), also saw the presence of key ministers including YB Fahmi Fadzil, YB Gobind Singh Deo, and YB Dato’ Seri Dr. Zambry Abd Kadir.
Under the MoU, MMU will serve as an authorized training and examination center for ZTE’s globally recognized certification programs, which cover ICT domains such as 5G, AI, wireless, and core networks.
The collaboration aims to equip Malaysian students and professionals with industry-relevant skills, boosting employability and global competitiveness while accelerating the nation’s digital transformation agenda.
