PUTRAJAYA, August 28 – The Ministry of Health (MOH) announced that 4,352 candidates for Grade UD10 Medical Officer positions will receive offer letters for permanent appointments by August 18. Those who accept the offers are expected to begin reporting for duty in phases starting October 2 at MOH facilities nationwide.
The ministry said the phased approach is designed to maintain officer seniority and ensure a smooth transition across multiple contract cohorts. The appointments follow engagements with key government agencies including the Ministry of Finance, Public Services Commission, and Public Service Department.
The MOH emphasised its commitment to bolstering the healthcare system by filling critical vacancies in a structured and needs-based manner. This initiative aligns with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s July 23 announcement to fast-track the hiring of contract doctors and other essential personnel to address pressing needs in Malaysia’s healthcare sector.
