GEORGE TOWN, September 1 — Penang FC’s search for their first Super League win of the season ended in frustration after a narrow 1-0 home defeat to Kelantan The Real Warriors at City Stadium. Kelantan captain Ifedayo Olusegun Patrick Omosuyi netted the decisive strike in the 28th minute, sealing the visitors’ crucial three points.
Penang’s hopes were further dented when defender Mohammad Khairul Akmal Rokisham was sent off in the 37th minute for an elbow on Sean Selvaraj, leaving the hosts to battle with 10 men. The result lifted Kelantan TRW to fifth in the standings with five points, while Penang FC remain in 11th place with just one point from four matches.
