PUTRAJAYA, September 3 — Barisan Nasional (BN) has mobilised its election machinery in all 73 constituencies of the Sabah State Legislative Assembly as it prepares for the upcoming 17th state election.
BN chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said the coalition is identifying constituencies where it stands the best chance of securing victory, adding that the party’s focus will be on winnable seats. While BN has finalised its cooperation with Pakatan Harapan (PH), Zahid said negotiations with Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) are still ongoing.
He stressed that BN respects the PH-GRS partnership but remains committed to targeting constituencies that can deliver wins for the coalition. The 16th Sabah assembly will automatically dissolve on Nov 11 if not dissolved earlier, paving the way for the polls.
