KUALA LUMPUR, September 5 – Pos Malaysia Berhad has taken another bold step in its green transformation journey with the official handover of 136 all-electric Maxus eDeliver 3 vans from Weststar Maxus, leased via Yinson GreenTech.
The move, unveiled on World EV Day, reinforces Pos Malaysia’s ESG commitments and Malaysia’s low-carbon ambitions, expanding the courier’s existing fleet of 1,252 two-wheel and 264 four-wheel EVs — the largest in the nation’s logistics sector.
For the first time, Pos Malaysia’s all-electric vehicles will also be deployed across East Malaysia, marking a nationwide milestone in sustainable delivery. Group CEO Charles Brewer described the initiative as “a win for customers, employees, and the planet.
While partners Weststar Maxus and Yinson GreenTech highlighted their shared commitment to accelerating EV adoption in Malaysia through innovation, after-sales support, and digital fleet optimisation. Each new van is expected to cut up to 1.11 tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually, further lowering Pos Malaysia’s carbon footprint per parcel.
With a goal to fully electrify its fleet by 2030 and achieve net-zero operations by 2050, Pos Malaysia continues to set the benchmark for sustainable logistics in Malaysia and the wider ASEAN region.
