GEORGE TOWN, September 5 — The Consumers’ Association of Penang (CAP) has urged Malaysians to move past outrage over the recent upside-down display of the national flag, noting that the person responsible has apologised and the matter should rest.
CAP president Mohideen Abdul Kader warned against politicising honest mistakes or stoking racial sentiments, stressing that the nation should instead focus on urgent challenges such as labour shortages, inflation, food supply uncertainties, and unemployment, which demand unity and collective action.
