KUALA LUMPUR, September 5 – The Communications and Multimedia Content Forum of Malaysia (Content Forum) has launched a Public Review of its newly-developed Disability-Inclusive Language Guidelines, open from 3 September to 10 October 2025, inviting feedback from the public, especially the PWD community, media practitioners, and content creators.

Developed in collaboration with disability organisations, advocacy groups, and industry experts, the guidelines aim to foster respectful, fair, and inclusive communication across media, advertising, and corporate platforms, aligning with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Content Code 2022.

Content Forum CEO Mediha Mahmood emphasised that language shapes perceptions and can challenge stereotypes, while disability advocate Beatrice Leong hailed the initiative as a practical tool to ensure dignity and accurate representation of persons with disabilities in Malaysian narratives.
