KUALA LUMPUR, September 5 — The Huawei Cloud AI Ecosystem Summit APAC 2025, held in conjunction with the ASEAN AI Summit, unveiled bold ambitions to nurture 30,000 Malaysian AI talents and cultivate 200 local AI partners over the next three years, strengthening Malaysia’s role as a regional AI hub.
Graced by Minister of Digital YB Gobind Singh Deo and attended by Prime Minister YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, the event underscored the government’s commitment to ethical, sustainable, and high-value AI adoption, powered by strategic public-private collaborations under the Malaysia Digital initiative.
Huawei Malaysia CEO Simon Sun highlighted that the programme will empower students, industry leaders, government officials, and innovators, while fostering local AI solutions and encouraging Chinese AI investments to boost economic growth and competitiveness across ASEAN.
