Following the debut of the iPhone 17 lineup, Apple has released the RC (release candidate) versions of its upcoming software updates, including macOS Tahoe, iPadOS 26, tvOS 26, visionOS 26, and watchOS 26.
These builds, now available to beta testers, are expected to represent the final versions that will be shipped to the public when the updates officially launch on September 15.
Apple emphasized that RC builds allow developers and testers to identify any last-minute bugs before the wider release, though a second RC may be issued if critical issues are discovered. Alongside the RC updates, Apple has also pushed out new developer and public betas for iOS 18.7, macOS 15.7, and macOS 14.8.
macOS Tahoe 26, the next major macOS release, introduces features like a redesigned Finder, advanced Spotlight tools with clipboard management and automation, desktop widgets, and Apple Intelligence-powered communication upgrades including live translation and a native Phone app.
With RC builds now in the hands of testers, Apple is on track to deliver one of its most feature-rich and stable software rollouts yet.
