BUKIT MERTAJAM, September 15 — YB Steven Sim visited the 135-year-old Bukit Mertajam Hospital today alongside hospital director Dr. Prashant A/L Subramanian and board representatives to review key developments, including the CT Scan machine worth RM5 million that has already served 6,500 patients in a year.
Upgraded toilet facilities supported by RM200,000 in funding that contributed to the hospital winning the Most Sustainable Hospital in Asia award, and ongoing plans to expand capacity from 242 beds to nearly double, with the state offering eight acres of land at the former BM Rest House for the project’s design stage.
