KUALA LUMPUR, September 15 — Futuromic Photo AV Sdn. Bhd., the official distributor of Ricoh imaging products in Malaysia, has launched the highly anticipated Ricoh GR IV, marking the first major upgrade to the iconic GR series in years.

Equipped with a 25.74MP APS-C CMOS sensor, a re-engineered 18.3mm f/2.8 GR lens, and powered by the new GR Engine 7, the GR IV delivers faster performance, enhanced image quality, five-axis stabilisation, and high-sensitivity shooting up to ISO 204800 — all within its compact magnesium alloy body.

Designed for speed and creativity, the camera boasts an improved autofocus system, a redesigned grip, outdoor-optimised LCD, built-in Bluetooth® and Wi-Fi, and expanded creative modes including Cinema mode and Snap Distance-Priority AE.

To celebrate its debut, Futuromic hosted a launch event at Sunway Pyramid, complete with hands-on demos, photo walks, and expert sessions with Ricoh GR photographers, underscoring its commitment to building a vibrant imaging community in Malaysia.

“The GR IV is not just a product milestone but a cultural moment for the photography community,” said Dato’ Billy Lai, Business Development Director of Futuromic. The Ricoh GR IV is now available through Futuromic’s authorised dealers and online channels, backed by full local warranty and after-sales support.
