KUALA LUMPUR, September 19 – Saudi Tourism Authority (STA), under its brand “Saudi, Welcome to Arabia”, reinforced its commitment to the Malaysian market at a B2B trade show in Kuala Lumpur, engaging over 150 regional and local trade partners alongside more than 30 Saudi stakeholders to promote Umrah+ and leisure travel.
Supported by airlines, hotels, and key associations including MATTA, MCTA, and BUMITRA, the event highlighted Saudi’s diverse destinations such as AlUla, Aseer, Al Baha, and the Red Sea, alongside enhanced air connectivity and exclusive travel incentives.
With Malaysian arrivals up 9% as of June and projections to surpass 300,000 visitors this year, STA introduced new offerings including Aroya Cruises, a Touch ‘n Go partnership, Umrah logistics support with WeXpress, VAT tax refunds, and expanded destination showcases, underscoring its vision to position Saudi as a premier travel choice for Malaysians beyond religious tourism.
