KUALA LUMPUR, September 20 — Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail has called on Malaysians to ensure their MyKad chips are functioning properly to benefit from the upcoming targeted RON95 petrol subsidy, which requires identity verification at fuel stations.

He assured that damaged or unreadable chips can be repaired at any National Registration Department office within the same day. Saifuddin also confirmed that the price of RON95 petrol is expected to drop to RM1.99 per litre by the end of the month.

In line with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s pledge under the MADANI government to ease living costs while safeguarding the people’s welfare.
