MANJUNG, September 24 — The Manjung Municipal Council Stadium has been transformed into a canvas of creativity as students from the Tunas Seni programme, in collaboration with Vale Malaysia and women-led art collective Lakar by Mekar, unveiled a vibrant mural themed “Conservation Through Art.”

Spanning two blocks, the mural reflects nature, unity, and community spirit, brought to life through workshops and a spirited Hari Melukis Komuniti (Community Painting Day) that saw students, artists, Vale employees, and locals painting side by side. Supported by the Manjung Municipal Council and forming part of Vale’s RM16 million Community Development Programme 2.0.

The initiative highlights youth empowerment, women in art, and environmental conservation. Vale Malaysia CEO Leonardo Paiva said the mural serves as a visual legacy and a bridge that connects communities, standing as a new landmark and symbol of identity, pride, and togetherness for the people of Manjung.
