PUTRAJAYA, September 27 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has called on Malaysians with idle land at home to start small-scale farming, saying it can help cut household expenses and reduce reliance on market produce.

Speaking at the 40th National Farmers’ Market celebration in Putrajaya, he stressed that those with available space should not leave it unproductive while complaining about food prices, adding that the government is ready to provide seeds, training, and technical support to encourage self-sufficiency.
