BAYAN LEPAS, October 1 — The Penang International Travel Exchange (PITE) 2025 officially opened today at the Setia SPICE Convention Centre, celebrating its 8th edition as a premier platform for global collaboration in tourism and business events.

Organised by the Penang Convention & Exhibition Bureau (PCEB), the three-day event runs from September 29 to October 1, bringing together 48 exhibitors, over 80 international buyers and media from 13 countries across Asia, the Middle East and Europe.

This year also marks a milestone with the introduction of exhibition booths, offering greater visibility and opportunities for exhibitors to connect with international delegates through curated business-to-business sessions.

Beyond trade meetings, PITE 2025 will also showcase Penang’s cultural and tourism assets through a dedicated familiarisation tour, complemented by networking events to strengthen professional relationships.

PCEB CEO Ashwin Gunasekeran highlighted that the event reflects Penang’s continued evolution as a business events hub while delivering tangible economic impact across tourism, hospitality, and culture. With its blend of UNESCO World Heritage charm, rich culinary scene and modern infrastructure.

Penang reaffirms its position as one of Asia’s leading destinations for both business and leisure.
