KUALA LUMPUR, October 4 – A new Malaysia Consumer Trend Report 2025 by Central Force International has revealed a stark gap between intention and action, with 91% of Malaysians expressing willingness to purchase sustainable products but the majority only ready to pay less than 10% more.
The survey of 500 consumers highlighted cost, credibility, and convenience as the top barriers, showing that while eco-conscious desires are strong, purchasing power remains cautious. Experts stress that businesses must step in with affordable, transparent, and accessible solutions to bridge this gap, turning awareness into consistent green habits.
