KUALA LUMPUR, October 10 — Edelteq Holdings Berhad has launched Halovision System Sdn. Bhd., a joint venture with Halo Technologies Sdn. Bhd., to develop advanced Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) systems for the semiconductor industry.

The venture received a boost with up to RM3.2 million in funding from Kumpulan Modal Perdana (KMP), a venture capital firm under the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, to accelerate the rollout of Halovision’s Raptor series for substrate panel inspection and i-Falke series for wafer-level inspection.

Edelteq Group CEO Chin Yong Keong said the partnership highlights strong confidence in Malaysia’s role in semiconductor innovation, while KMP CIO Lee Hui-Ni stressed that the investment aligns with national efforts to strengthen Malaysia’s position in the global value chain.

Halovision CEO John Hyung Moon added that the combined expertise of Edelteq, HTSB, and KMP will drive the delivery of world-class inspection solutions, further supporting the country’s National Semiconductor Strategy.
