PETALING JAYA, October 14 — A 16-year-old schoolgirl was tragically killed after she was allegedly stabbed multiple times by a 14-year-old male student at a Bandar Utama school this morning. Witnesses claimed the boy had confessed his feelings to the victim the previous day, but after being rejected, confronted her near the girls’ toilet armed with a knife.
The suspect reportedly cornered the victim before stabbing her repeatedly, prompting teachers and students to rush to the scene. Chaos erupted as the boy fled and began chasing other students before being subdued by his brother and school staff.
Petaling Jaya District Police Chief ACP Shamsudin Mamat confirmed that the fatal attack took place near the girls’ toilet and that the victim suffered multiple stab wounds. He said teachers had responded immediately after hearing screams but arrived too late to save the victim.
The suspect has since been arrested, and police have ruled out bullying as a motive while continuing to investigate the rejected confession as a possible cause. A post-mortem will be conducted at Universiti Malaya Medical Centre as investigations continue.
