KUALA LUMPUR, October 19 – More than 250 mothers from across Malaysia gathered for the Nicol David Organisation’s inaugural Ibu Legends Summit, a landmark event dedicated to celebrating and empowering mothers as leaders and changemakers in their families and communities.

Co-founded by squash legend Datuk Nicol David and CEO Mariana de Reyes, the summit highlighted the impact of NDO’s Ibu Legends programme, which supports mothers from lower-income backgrounds through mental wellness sessions, financial literacy, fitness, and community connection.

The event, supported by Yayasan Hasanah, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia, Cartier, and Watsons, featured inspiring talks from prominent women leaders including Siti Kamariah Ahmad Subki, Datuk Nicol David, Dr. Jezamine Lim, and Thanuja Ananthan.

The summit also showcased an art exhibition themed “Motherhood Through a Mother’s Eyes” and workshops celebrating courage and leadership. Through initiatives like Ibu Legends and Little Legends for children, the Nicol David Organisation continues to strengthen families, with over 80% of mothers reporting improved emotional resilience and family bonds.
