KUALA LUMPUR, October 22 – The Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) announced RM7.3 billion in potential green investments secured during the International Greentech & Eco Products Exhibition and Conference Malaysia (IGEM) 2025, underscoring the nation’s growing leadership in Southeast Asia’s clean energy transformation.

The achievement follows 38 strategic business matchmaking sessions and a landmark partnership with Maybank to expand green financing opportunities. MIDA’s Biz Bridge initiative, co-organised with the Malaysian Photovoltaic and Sustainable Energy Industry Association (MPSEA).

Successfully connected renewable energy players, data centres, and sustainable manufacturers, reinforcing Malaysia’s ambitions under the MADANI Economy Framework and National Energy Transition Roadmap.

MIDA CEO Datuk Sikh Shamsul Ibrahim Sikh Abdul Majid said the milestone reflects Malaysia’s commitment to turning “net-zero ambitions into net-positive growth,” positioning the country as a regional powerhouse for sustainable and high-value investments.
