BUTTERWORTH, October 24 – Police have arrested four individuals — two men and two women aged between 24 and 42 — in connection with the gruesome murder of a local man whose body was found stuffed in a suitcase behind the Ampang Jajar Flats along Jalan Permatang Pauh, Butterworth, on 9 October.
The victim, reported missing a day earlier, was discovered with his throat slit, hands bound, and head covered with plastic. The suspects were detained in Butterworth and Kampar, Perak, by the Penang Police Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and are being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
Police have urged the public to refrain from speculation to avoid disrupting the ongoing investigation.
