BALIK PULAU, October 24 — A minor landslide occurred along Federal Route FT006 at Section 40.65, approximately 1.5km from Titi Kerawang, early this morning at around 7.36am.
The incident, reported in the Barat Daya district, affected a stretch of about 12 metres with a depth of three metres. According to the Public Works Department (JKR) and THB Maintenance, the original retaining wall at the site had collapsed following light rain in the area.
Authorities have closed one lane of the road to ensure public safety, and temporary traffic management (TMP) measures are being installed to control vehicle flow.
Motorists using the Jalan Mengelilingi Pulau route are advised to exercise caution and expect possible delays while cleanup and repair works are underway.
