KUALA LUMPUR, October 24 – Maxis has partnered with global telecom solutions provider Globe Teleservices (GTS) to enhance digital security for millions of its subscribers through the deployment of an AI-powered firewall for messaging and voice traffic across Malaysia.
The fully managed service, powered by GTS’s Armour firewall, uses advanced AI and machine learning to detect and block spam, grey-route bypasses, and large-scale fraud such as SIM farms, ensuring safer and more reliable communications.
Maxis Chief Enterprise Business Officer Prateek Pashine said the collaboration strengthens customer trust by safeguarding message integrity and delivery, while GTS Group CEO Ashutosh Agrawal noted that the partnership showcases how AI can protect telecom ecosystems at scale.
The initiative supports Malaysia’s 13th Malaysia Plan (13MP) priorities on cybersecurity and advancing the nation’s AI-driven digital infrastructure.
