ZURICH, November 4 — The FIFA Appeal Committee has upheld the disciplinary sanctions imposed on the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) and seven players — Gabriel Felipe Arrocha, Facundo Tomás Garcés, Rodrigo Julián Holgado, Imanol Javier Machuca, João Vitor Brandão Figueiredo, Jon Irazábal Iraurgui, and Hector Alejandro Hevel Serrano.
For violations of Article 22 of the FIFA Disciplinary Code involving forgery and falsification. The ruling confirms a fine of CHF 350,000 against FAM and CHF 2,000 each for the players, who have also been handed 12-month suspensions from all football-related activities. Both FAM and the players have been notified of the decision and may appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport within 21 days.
