GEORGE TOWN, November 5 — IJM Land Berhad has officially opened a newly completed one-way flyover at THE LIGHT Waterfront Penang, aimed at easing congestion and providing motorists travelling towards George Town with direct access to the landmark waterfront development.
The infrastructure upgrade, part of IJM Land’s long-term plan to improve mobility across Penang, complements the recently launched elevated road from Jalan Tunku Kudin to THE LIGHT Waterfront, offering smoother travel for commuters from the Green Lane area.
The existing dedicated bicycle lane within the development remains open to the public, promoting safer and greener transport options. Motorists are urged to observe speed limits and comply with temporary traffic measures during the familiarisation period, while cyclists are advised to remain alert and dismount at intersections.
Seri Delima assemblyman Connie Tan Hooi Peng praised the project, saying the enhanced connectivity not only improves travel efficiency but also strengthens THE LIGHT Waterfront Penang’s role as a vibrant urban destination shaping Penang’s modern landscape.
