KUALA LUMPUR, November 10 – Malakoff Corporation Berhad, through its subsidiary Malakoff Silver Solar Sdn. Bhd., has appointed Solarvest Holdings Berhad’s subsidiary, Atlantic Blue Sdn. Bhd., as the EPCC contractor for the nation’s largest 470 MW LSS PETRA 5+ solar project in Larut and Matang, Perak.
The agreement, exchanged during IGEM 2025, marks a key milestone in advancing Malaysia’s clean energy transition under the National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR). Expected to generate 967,544 MWh of clean energy annually and offset 748,879 tonnes of carbon emissions, the project strengthens Malaysia’s renewable energy capacity, supports national energy security, and creates high-value local jobs.
Malakoff CEO Syahrunizam Samsudin and Solarvest Group CEO Dato’ Davis Chong Chun Shiong reaffirmed their commitment to delivering world-class renewable infrastructure that accelerates Malaysia’s goal of achieving a 70% renewable energy mix by 2050.
