SEREMBAN, November 14 — A colourful new mural at Lorong Seni Seremban, launched by Datuk Bandar of Majlis Bandaraya Seremban, Yang Berbahagia Dato’ Ir. Ts. Haji Masri bin Baharuddin, and NutriPlus Director of Operation Yap Chor Wen, marks the beginning of Rasa & Warna by NutriPlus — a nationwide project transforming public spaces into storytelling platforms that celebrate Malaysian culture through art.
Painted by local artist Yaulacap, the mural depicts a mother teaching her child to cook masak lemak cili api under the iconic Minangkabau-inspired roof of Wisma Negeri, blending food, family, and heritage into one vivid narrative. The initiative, which has already expanded to Klang and Alor Setar, aims to turn streets into open-air galleries that honour Malaysia’s shared identity and traditions.
