KUALA LUMPUR, November 18 – The Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers (AICB) has unveiled FSF Xcel, Malaysia’s first digital skills assessment platform designed to benchmark and elevate workforce capabilities across the financial sector.

Building on the Future Skills Framework (FSF), the platform — developed with Accendo Technologies — covers 159 job roles and 157 critical skills, offering data-driven insights to close talent gaps and accelerate upskilling in line with Bank Negara Malaysia’s Financial Sector Blueprint 2022–2026.

AICB Chief Executive Edward Ling described FSF Xcel as “a catalyst for transformation,” while Datuk Dr Yvonne Chiaemphasised its role in preparing the workforce for an evolving skills landscape where 40% of current capabilities could change by 2030.

Rolling out in Q4 2025, FSF Xcel aims to strengthen Malaysia’s position as a regional hub for skilled, innovative, and future-ready financial professionals.
