KUALA LUMPUR, November 26 – The Malaysian Meteorological Department has issued continuous rain warnings across several states, effective from 26 to 29 November 2025. Terengganu faces a Severe (Red) Alert, with rainfall expected to exceed 250mm within 24 hours in Besut, Setiu, Kuala Nerus, and Kuala Terengganu until 28 November.
Kelantan and parts of Terengganu (Hulu Terengganu, Marang, Dungun, Kemaman) are under an Orange Alert, with heavy rain exceeding 150mm in 24 hours forecasted until the same date. Other regions are under a Yellow Alert, including Perlis, Kedah, Perak, Penang, Pahang, Selangor, WP Kuala Lumpur, WP Putrajaya, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, and Johor.
Where persistent rain of less than 150mm over 24 hours is expected. Residents are advised to remain vigilant, monitor local weather updates, and take necessary precautions against potential flooding and disruptions caused by the prolonged rainfall.
